Heartfelt giving: Eldercare sets record with 300 gift bags in its seventh year of supporting Share the Dignity
Eldercare staff, suppliers and retirement living residents supported for the seventh year the charity’s ‘It’s In The Bag’ campaign for their monthly fundraiser.
The money raised was used to create 250 gift bags containing personal hygiene products and special items for women who are homeless or affected by domestic violence. Eldercare also filled 50 bags with stationery and toys for children in need.
Chief Executive Jane Pickering said it is heartening to see this wonderful generosity and kindness from staff, suppliers and residents as they look to see how they can also make a difference in the wider community by supporting a charity like Share The Dignity.
“As a White Ribbon accredited workplace, Eldercare is committed to ending violence against women, and we are proud put to our support behind this annual community Christmas appeal to help women and girls who are experiencing homelessness and poverty,” said Ms Pickering.
Trish from Share the Dignity S.A said it is so wonderful to get such super support for our drive. Eldercare has been a great supporter.
“I do logistics as well, and every year your bags are great, and come at a moment when I worry about the number of bags we can ship out. Every year the quality of your bags gets better and better.” Said Trish.
