Eldercare Oxford 'Knit and Chat' group knits for a cause
This year, the Eldercare Oxford 'Knit and Chat' group has decided to knit with a purpose.
Their plan is to donate all their knitted goods to the Uniting Church in Glenelg. The church is currently running a winter clothing appeal, aiming to provide warm clothing to those in need during the cold months.
“We have lots of ladies and gentlemen joining, making pom-poms, knitting scarves, beanies. And this year, we decided to make them for a charity.” Said Eldercare Wellbeing Consultant Nicola Timbs.
By contributing their handmade items, Eldercare’s ‘Knit and Chat’ group hopes to make a positive impact in the community.
